The Psychology of Aclaimant: The Rules of Engagement

The Rules of Engagement in military terms are defined as “a directive issued by a military authority specifying the circumstances and limitations under which forces will engage in combat with the enemy."

At Aclaimant, we are waging a war against the status quo when it comes to digitizing the incident reporting process and creating technological tools of engagement that reduce the ultimate cost of risk for employees, employers and carriers.

We continue to improve the utility of the Aclaimant platform by breaking down the multiplicity of roles and the expectations of who is the primary pivot point for delivering  information on a timely basis within the supply chain. We can no long afford to chase people or chase information and in order to win the race to the data, the employee, employer, and carrier must all be engaged.

The greatest enemy confronting any organization is the lack of effort to improve the engagement level between employees and employers, policyholders and carriers and agent/producers who fail to act as an extension of their clients risk management team.

Gallup defines “engaged” employees as those who are involved in, enthusiastic about, and committed to their work and contribute to their organization in a positive manner.

Douglas McGregor, an American social psychologist, proposed his famous X-Y theory in his 1960 book 'The Human Side Of Enterprise. “Theory X” considers that on the whole, workers dislike their work, and have little inherent motivation to perform well.  Theory Y, in contrast, is based on the belief that, given appropriate working conditions, most people perform well.

The Aclaimant Rules of Engagement are very simple; make a choice or take a chance. We don’t subscribe to any one organizational behavior theory or model.  Aclaimant is simply waging a war against wasted time and money. We are waging a war against those who default to the mind over matter environment of “I don’t mind and you don’t matter.”

Aclaimant is an interactive real time personal and professional tool of engagement that makes it possible to convert an expected outcome into an actual outcome. We take great pride in eliminating chance by giving the policyholder a choice to be rewarded by engaging in the risk mitigation process before, during and after an incident is reported.

We've even created an Engagement Report that gives you insight into your responsiveness to important messages and timely events. Even better, we break this down into an easy to understand score that not only let's you know how you are doing, but how you are doing relative to businesses like yours!
