Michael Schultz

Michael A. Schultz is currently the President of INCA Holdings d/b/a American Staffing Assurance Company. ASAC is an insurance captive dedicated to serving the Staffing Industry. He is a major shareholder, member of the Board of Directors and active manager and team leader in the workers compensation claims administration and adjudication division.

Michael is also the co-founder of Aclaimant, a patent pending technologically enabled service platform designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of incident reporting and monitoring.
In addition to his duties and responsibilities to ASAC and Aclaimant, Michael is an experienced sales and marketing professional with over 35 years of retail production in insurance and financial services. He continues to build his reputation through an uncompromising commitment to deliver a service irrespective of whether a product is sold.

He is in good standing with the State of Michigan and Federal Regulatory Agencies as a licensed life, health, accident and property/casualty agent.

 

Jim Farber

Jim is the founder and President of Executive Strategies, Inc. (ESI), a national retail and wholesale specialty insurance agency he formed in July 2000. ESI is dedicated exclusively to the insurance and risk related needs of underserved industries and serves as Program Administrator and Underwriting Manager for the programs within the INCA Holdings portfolio.

INCA Holdings, which Jim founded and is Chairman of the Board, is a company created to operate a portfolio of highly profitable niche insurance companies, capitalizing upon the premise that Insureds Need Creative Alternatives. In 1997, Jim developed the first group Property & Casualty insurance program for the National Technical Service Association (NTSA), whose membership was staffing firms throughout the United States.

Currently, Jim serves on the ASA National Workers’ Compensation, Risk Management, and Safety Advisory Council. In 2013, Jim became a Coverholder at Lloyd’s of London, with authority to underwrite Employment Practices Liability coverage on behalf of the Beazley Syndicate.

Prior to entering the agency/ brokerage system, Jim was an underwriter with Victor O. Schinnerer & Co., Inc., a leading Managing General Agent for professional liability insurance programs. He is a Licensed Insurance Counselor, a Property, Casualty, Life & Health Agent, a Surplus Lines Broker and an Open Market Correspondent at Lloyd’s of London.

David Wald

David is a co-founder of Aclaimant, and handles day to day operations and partnerships.  Prior to joining Aclaimant, David was the Director of Marketing at dough.com, an Executive In Residence and Investor with Lightbank, and a consultant with Bain and Company.

In his free time, David enjoys playing with his puppy, golfing, and playing chess.

Joel Friedman

Joel is a co-founder of Aclaimant, and leads all development efforts in building our unique and powerful software platform.  Prior to his work with Aclaimant, Joel spent time in several senior developer roles, including working for companies like Outpace, Trunk Club, and DRW Holdings.

In addition to being a coding superstar, he also spends time riding his bicycle, tinkering with electronics, and playing hockey.

Our Advisors

Gary Pearce
Gary Pearce is Chief Risk, Compliance and Privacy Officer for Kelly Services, Inc.  Reporting to the General Counsel, he leads the Risk Management Group which consists of the following departments: Global Safety, Health and Environmental; Global Security Programs; Risk Intelligence; Risk Management; Unemployment Compensation; and Workers Compensation.  Mr. Pearce also serves as leader of Kelly’s Enterprise Risk Management program.

Among Mr. Pearce’s responsibilities are Kelly’s global compliance and privacy programs, risk-related product development support, property-liability insurance, global risk financing, management of insured property/liability claims, financial and actuarial analysis of Kelly’s workers compensation programs, crisis response and disaster recovery planning, and development and execution of corporate safety strategies.   Within the Enterprise Risk Management program Mr. Pearce leads corporate efforts including payroll compliance governance, risk assessments and mitigation regarding new-product development, and cyber security support.

Prior to joining Kelly Services in 1993, Mr. Pearce was risk financing manager for a regional health care corporation and vice president of an international insurance brokerage firm.  Mr. Pearce holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, a BA from Michigan State University, and the CPCU and ARM designations.  He is a former president of the Detroit chapter of the Risk & Insurance Management Society and contributor to Risk Management magazine, and currently serves on the advisory boards of National Underwriter Magazine and two insurance companies.

 

Stephen Greenwald
Stephen D. Greenwald, Esq. has over 20 years’ experience in nearly all aspects of the corporate world: from owning his own business to his current position as In-house Counsel for ComForCare Health Care Holdings, Inc., an international franchisor of non-medical home care companies with locations in 37 states and three countries. Stephen began his career at ComForCare in July of 2008 where he first served as Director of Compliance and now serves as In-house Counsel.  His responsibilities include maintaining compliance with, though not exclusively: applicable state and federal franchising laws, wage and hour laws, insurance best practices, and Affordable Care Act rules and regulations. In additionally, Stephen assists with franchise benchmarking (goal setting) and business mentoring (creating companies, developing processes and procedures, etc.). Prior to his employment with ComForCare, Stephen owned a check cashing and payday advance business.

ScottGoodreau

Scott Goodreau

Scott is an experienced executive with 20 years in the insurance industry holding diverse “C” level positions, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Sales Officer, Super Regional President and Chief Legal Officer, for insurance claims, distribution, carrier, and technology companies ranging from PE to public company to venture capital. Scott is currently the Chief Operating Officer in the U.S. for SCM Insurance Services, the leading Canadian provider (3,000+ employees) of claims and risk management services as they look to build out their North American strategy. 

Prior to SCM, Scott led the Sales and Marketing operations for Hub International, a top ten global broker (10,000 employees). Responsibilities included corporate strategic growth investments in marketing, sales operations, training, and segmentation strategies and working with field sales organization to accelerate organic growth via Hub’s 2,000 producers. Scott was also Super Regional President for the U.S. Central Region where he had P&L responsibility for 20% of the company’s revenue. Scott started at Hub as Chief Legal Officer in 2009.  Prior to Hub, Scott served as Senior Vice President of Specialty Underwriters Alliance, Inc. where he oversaw all aspects of Ops Analysis, Legal, Investor Relations, Human Resources, and Admin for this national P&C insurance carrier.

Other experiences include General Counsel at AscendantOne, Senior Counsel for Vertafore, and Associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel.

         

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robert Kohen, M.D.
Robert Kohen is the Director of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and an Orthopaedic Surgeon with Michigan Healthcare Professionals.  Previously, Robert was an Attending Physician, Orthopaedic Surgery at DMC Surgery Hospital, as well as Associate Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Detroit Red Wings and a Sports Medicine Fellowship Faculty.

Robert graduated Cum Laude from the University of Michigan Medical School and served as Chief Resident at the University of Michigan Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He is also a Diplomat – American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Robert brings deep expertise into medical management issues related to workers comp and workplace incidents, and serves as one of the founding members of the aclaimant medical network.
